www.tvtonight.com says that the ABC has the rights to air the new series of Doctor Who from April but the ABC hasn't said exactly when they are going to air it. C'Mon ABC! Put us out of our misery!

I am sure you will find out when the ABC will screen it long before they actually announce it. Let us all know when you can.

It wouldn't terribly surprise me if the ABC pushed it back fue to some stupid reason or other. Personally I think it's insulting.

Dammit, I must be losing my touch.

However, by the time it's shown on iView I would have seen two episodes. But I suppose two weeks behind is better than a month and a half.

Heh, I first saw it via Penguin Australia's Facebook feed. Found the blog from their linky. One of the Sunday papers also mentioned the dates.

During his acceptance speech for the award for Best Drama Performance at the National Television Awards on 29th October 2008, David Tennant announced that he would not return for the 5th series. As the Tenth Doctor's companion, Donna Noble had been ostensibly written out at the time, Tennant's announcement set up the possibility that series 5 would begin with a completely new set of starring actors. Aside from the special case of Rose, the only reasonably analogous situation in the history of Doctor Who was the start of Jon Pertwee's first season.
