Sci Fi channel in the US is changing its name to try to shed its geeky image. It is apparently now being called SyFy. Will be interesting to see if the renaming of the station actually works or not...

Why make up a new name? Did they chose a name to confuse their market? It that how one gets more market penetration? Marketing by stealth?
