NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, it was on news.com.au surprisingly. The bottom part of the article made me laugh though:

"Bookmaker William Hill has David Morrissey, who starred in BBC dramas Blackpool and State of Play, as 5/2 favourite to get the job, followed by Paterson Joseph and James McAvoy.

Other names in the frame include James Nesbitt, best known for comedy drama Cold Feet, and Life On Mars star John Simm."

HAHAHAHA. How can John Simm be looked at as the next Doctor when he's already played the Master. Some people have no idea......

I was actually thinking John Simm. Maybe they can explain that sometimes two timelords can look the same in different incarnations, or something like that. I was in Ballina and my wife rang and told me, and I thought NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!.

Oh come on.

If they put John Simm in as the next Dr after he's played the Master every fan in the world would be up in arms.

I'm going to keep an open mind about this like I did during the Eccleston/Tennant switchover. I'm still curious to see who it would be...............

They're also talking Billie Piper.... I'm a firm believer that if the Doctor has always been male, he should stay a male. No offence to Billie.

THANKYOU!!!!!!

Finally. Someone else who believes as I do. I can't even count how many times people say "Billie would make a good Doctor". Gaaaah. How is such a thing even conceivable.

Just seems like common sense.

I thought that the Billie Piper reference was David saying that the Doctor could even be a women, eg. Billie Piper. I don't think i saw anywhere that they were actually *considering* her, just a theoretical comment.

I found a rumor the Robert Carlyle (from Hamish McBeth, Trainspotting, etc) may be cast as the next Doctor.

Carlyle has been rumored to be in the running to take over the role of Doctor Who when fellow Scottish actor David Tennant departs that show next year.

That rumour has actually been circulating round for a while now. I'm unsure as to what kind of dr he would make.
