Terry Brooks world of Shannara looks headed to the big screen following Warner Bros optioning of it.

This could be could... It's interesting to see that they've picked the second novel (Elfstones of Shannara) to start with, and not Sword of Shannara. Maybe there is a concern about how close it is in plot to the Lord of the Rings. As much as I enjoyed it, I always felt the first book was a LOTR knockoff.
