The 2006 Aurealis Awards were presented on January 27th in Brisbane. A complete list can be found at
http://benpayne.livejournal.com/120867.html
and at the Aurealis Awards page soon
http://www.fantasticqueensland.com/~aurealisawards/home.html

For special note, Prismatic (tie for best horror) was #7 on our bestsellers list for 2006.

Also special congratulations to Bill Congreve, who won the Convenor's Award for services to the genre. Many of you will have met Bill at conventions representing both his own publishing: Mirrordanse books, and sometimes Infinitas Bookshop, or at the shop over the years he has worked here.

Hear, hear... congratulations Bill. It's good to hear that he's been recognised for all that he does.

As an author of Prismatic, I'm also very happy with the award, as you might imagine.

Infinitas was great in supporting us at our launch, and the sales figures have shown you have kept it up as well, so thanks greatly to you.

I trust you have seen Prismatic ranked in our 2006 bestsellers list. Congratulations for writing a commercially successful book as well as the award. We do love selling books.

Thanks.

Speaking of support from Infinitas, we were also regular attendees of the Writers' Group, way back when. Nice to see that's still going.
