Black Industries, the Roleplaying imprint of Black Library Publishing, will be ceasing to produce new lines late this year. For more information see their official announcement.

This really grates me, but coming from GW I am not suprised - its not the first time its happened.

I guess GW means to crush Black Industries before they become too successful to claim independence - I mean didn't the Dark Heresy rulebook sell out within a day?

Just means I'll have to grab the WFRP books I want before they go out of print.

I must admit, it seems like a real strange decision to announce the week their third product line arrives. And with such apparent success too! Do they want all future sales of it to fail? "Hi, we've just released this new product. But we're going to stop supporting it in a few months time, so if you enjoy it..."

The cynic in me wonders if they think that, while novels will complement the players of the Minis game, the roleplay stuff will take some of their minis players away from *that* cash cow...

FFG have picked up the publishing and distribution rights to the WHFRP and the WH40KRP line.
