Er, are all these people from overseas joining the forum actually supposed to be here?

With website urls that have "viagra" and "badcreditloans" in them, I'd somewhat doubt it.

Doesn't matter that much, I guess, but mayhaps there should be a brief round of bannings? Hmm?

As long as they're not posting spam threads we're doing OK. I moderate on another forum and my primary activity is deleting 'bot posted threads full of links to x, pharmecuticals and mp3 music downloads

There's been a couple of the these bot created accounts posting spam in the forums, but I am deleting the posts & banning the users as I come across them.

I've also banned all email addresses from @mail.ru. Hopefully that will help slow them down as well.

You found that one before I had the time to remove it

I've done a round of cleaning up the membership, and deleted all the bad people who shouldn't be here

I do what I can. Unfortunately, at the moment there's more spam that real posts, which is a pity.

I've deleted a few more. Users using servers in Amsterdam, claiming to be in Russia, using Albanian language options.

Why would a spam account claim to be in Russia, home of internet spam?
